Problems I've had with the Monte
Well when i first got it, the previous owner has messed with the high fan motor wire. He cut it out of the harness and directly wired it.
Not quite sure why he would do this. But to this day it still has me stumped.
Another thing i noticed as soon as i got in was the drooping headliner. While going down the road one day i had a blowout of the headliner. Wow was that a mess i vacuumed the damm car for almost an hour to get all the old brown insulation. I have pulled it since and intend to have it replaced this summer.
The carpet has to be badly replaced. Mechanics tend to have grease on their shoes, and in this car it shows, either that or they wanted to tar the inside of the car.
The drivers side seat is badly worn, it has a 2-3 inch rip on the side and the fabric is almost worn to the point where you can see through it.
I plan on replacing the seats altogether with racing seats.
The center console was replaced and not painted the gray to match the interior. Will be done the day the carpet is pulled.
The engine is the second 305 to be placed inside it. Once the seals started to go the guy had it replaced under the warranty.
Looking for new 2 1/4 inch piping to replace the old worn out stock ones. Then I am gonna add the new 3 1/2 inch chrome tips that I purchased.
Once all this is done I think ill start to do performance mods so the car will run closer to 14's in the quarter mile.

Well it seems that my car hates me. How is this possible you ask? Well it seems the tach lead wire had gone bare somehow and caused a short to ground. Thus blowing the module and new coil just put in a week ago. Man im so mad this one cost me cause i couldnt figure it out. i hope this never happens to anybody because its a total bi#%h to figure out.
